New Meridian mayor Robert Simison sworn into office

The fast-growing city of Meridian has a new leader.

Robert Simison was sworn into office Tuesday as the city's new mayor. He served as former mayor Tammy De Weerd's chief of staff for the past 12 years.

Also on Tuesday, three newly-elected city council members also took the oath of office.
